Aaaaand we're off to the Cod yet again for a short long weekend. Please try not to fight over the objets d'art; I know they're maddeningly beautiful, but alas, uninsured.

Oh Slothy, thank you for my prize! It looks as though I was dancing so hard that my cups shreveled and fell off and I had to pick them up and carry them for the rest of the night.

Have fun this weekend. Get some sun...if it shows its face.

hi earlybird peeds, I'm gonna swim, rain or shine. The park rangers may be surprised to see a sloth on the beach, balancing on one leg, karate-kid style.

report from the bunker... on the up side: copious sun, huge empty beach, lots of shack-work accomplished, cold-water swim after day of hot work, art openings plus drinks last night with old friends. Down side: bumper crop of mosquitos and other assorted horrible bugs, persistent winds to drive you crazy, parents regressing by the minute.

An immature bald eagle has been hanging around the dune shack (full-sized but his head is still brown). He is enormous & prefers previously-killed critters. lazy? but undeniably beautiful, gliding in figure-eights up & down the shore. He landed a short distance from us on the beach today; just us and him, co-existing, checking each other out.

Sloth, the eagle sounds fantastic.

I saw some immature pigeons today; they were amazing. They shat in figure-eights over my head, narrowly missing me.
