orthogonality

Sloth's pea-brain has been pondering the squareness. A square must only be born from the bean, because Sloth can't think of any that are natural-occurring. City-blocks, beds, computer screens, paintings; so many of the made-things are square, or square-ish, anyway. It must have to do with math, because of the mystery of math.

Most of the squares in Sloth's life are "funky" squares, meaning they are pretty far from the ideal. So when the edges are pressed together, there are crazy cracks and leaks, which makes for a seepage effect.

perfection in squares screams formulaic homogenous conformity. grids. pidgeon holes. chicken coops. perfect squares line up and block seepage. Seepage is existential. Ideas wrapped in goo. I would like to be an imperfect square surrounded in goo seepage.

P.S. how was your research trip? Did you discover truths about the squares?

SLOTH!!!! Yay you are back. I love your messy squares. The are an antidote to the sameness that Krix discusses above. Seepage is tres sexy, as is slamming into and mushing up against. Wrongness is lovely. Crooked edges. Yes. How was your trip? We missed you desperately. Did your pimped out toilet protect you from the elements on your way to and from?

I was taught in art school that every shape is found in nature. Seems there are a few little squares, maybe in a few million years these square bacteria will evolve in to giant square beasts:

MM knows how I feel about him or is it a unisexual pronoun free "it" we're talking about? I hope MM's feelings arn't smashed on the rocks of absolutness when he sees how my link to the only square in nature is'nt working.

Corny, it is the fault of the link and not yours. I believe you are blameless and I am sure Sushi will concur. I am considered a "he" in some places, a "she" in others, but am aspiring to be tanscendent of gender at any moment. Square bacteria is coming into the flip-top of my head.

How dreary, FB... does your beige have a nap-room? They ought to be mandatory in any such environment.
